Presidents’ Council Minutes for November 12, 2024
The meeting was called to order by Council Vice-President Robert Pickard at 7:05 p.m.
Roll Call was taken by acting Council Secretary, Charline List, and it revealed that we had a Quorum.
Buildings 3 and 14 did not have representation.
There were no additions or corrections to the April 9, 2024 meeting minutes. Charlie List made a motion to accept the minutes as written, second by Jim Carreau. The motion carried.
Treasurer’s Report: In the absence of Lee Ann Vanderwoude due to her husband’s death, Robert Pickard handed out copies of the October report.
Clubhouse & Recreation: Wi-Fi for clubhouse was discussed. (See Old Business.)
The back area needs clean-up. A new grill is needed and Robert suggested a propane grill to replace the present grill, and a new table in that area; to be open for discussion in December or January.
Pool: Rober Pickard reported that new lights have been installed in the pool.
There was a lot of misuse of the pool during the summer months. Discussion followed about ways to monitor the area with cameras. Eddie will research Wise-Cam and Richard Belotti will do Cloud research to be presented at the December meeting
Shuffleboard: The area is clean and ready for use.
Lawn/Landscaping: No report
Bingo: Helen Marino is waiting to hear from Cal re: Start-up dates.
Craft Club: The Club is selling cards and will have them for sale during their weekly meeting.
Club 2180: Dates have been posted for the International Potluck, Valentine’s Dinner and Pool Party.
Webmaster: No report
Old Business:
Clubhouse Wi-Fi: Tabled until December meeting.
Emergency phone in pool area tabled to December meeting.
Defibrillator tabled to December meeting. Motion by Charlie List and second Lynn Anderson. It was suggested that we have someone from the Red Cross come in to inform us about its use in order for the council to make an informed decision.
There was no new business.
Meeting adjourned at 7:42. Motion by Charlie List, second by Pat LaBarre.
